Whilst we were all very excited to be hosted by our colleagues at Nottingham University, the global challenges of COVID-19 and the continued uncertainty of travel have forced us to reconsider. We are not contemplating a permanent switch in format for future meetings. However, we are happy that the recent experience we have all gained in virtual meetings has allowed the European Job Market 2020 to go virtual, and continue our role as coordinators of a job market for economists in Europe.
There are a number of practical issues that we need to discuss over the coming weeks, but we are certain that full information will be released during the week of September 21. Our programme of workshops (see below) will remain unchanged, and we are exploring a number of other sessions for the benefit of the EJM candidates.
If you wish to confirm now your intention to recruit, please visit the page for recruiters.
Registration opens the week of September 21. Full information on how to register will be available from then.
While most of the time during the week of December 14 to 18 will be devoted to job interviews, the following events have been organised:
Speaker: Helene Rey, London Business School
What is Next? Tips for a Junior Faculty in Economics
Organised by SEA
Speakers: Antonio Cabrales, Universidad Carlos III De Madrid, Rachel Griffith, IFS and University Of Manchester and Alessandro Ruggieri, University of Nottingham
These events are open to all – recruiters and candidates who are registered.
The EJM thank UniCredit Foundation for its support of the 2018, 2019 and 2020 job market.
